The year 2022 euromind team in Úbeda is ending with a group of 16 students from Warsaw, who are sure to conquer the IT, electronics, and electrical engineering markets in the future, especially judging by how they fared during their one-month internship in Spain.
The students worked in a variety of companies specializing in machine manufacturing, machine repairs, programming, web development, or the installation of various types of networks. Everyone found something to their liking and, after just a few days, felt like a fish in water in their host company, as the feedback left by participants after the trip testifies.
The students spent their free time attending a Spanish language course, which ended with an exam (all passed excellently!), and on excursions, including to the beautiful city of Córdoba, where the project participants were particularly impressed by the ancient bridge and the special significance of the flower patios for the inhabitants of the city.
The month was marked by many new adventures and experiences, and what the students learned will certainly come in handy in the future!

In Spain, I really liked the openness and mountainous look of the whole area. What surprised me is the people here, they are very friendly, calm and joke a lot. I worked at a company focused on making and maintaining hardware used for weighing olives. My job was to configure the software side of things but also help with fixing machines. My tutors were nice and always tried to teach me new things. In my free time, I liked to go out and explore the city. The thing I will remember the most is arriving in Spain and seeing how much different it is from Poland. Overall I really liked being here and it was a great opportunity to learn about the culture and also practice my skills in a different country.

After arriving in Úbeda, and living there for a few days, I noticed how much the cultures of Spain and Poland were different! I was introduced to a new (for me at least) concept of siestas. During my apprenticeship, I was working at a company that specialized in manufacturing and selling olive oil, as well as being a museum of olive oil history. I was tasked there with managing the online store of the company, as well as taking part in a project of editing a video of a conference about the health benefits of olive oil. During most of the weekends, me and my friends would go on trips to cities like Córdoba.
