MOBIL APP PROGRAMERS FROM POLAND GAIN UNIQUE EXPERIENCE IN MALAGA

In July a group of 14 students from Boleslawiec, were hosted by euroMind in Spain to gain a 3-weeks internship as Mobil app programmers.
All trainees were working in the same company, students learn a lot of new information, they had different and challenging tasks. The program of the internship was divided into 3 steps. Trainees were – Introduction to programming mobile devices: the basic architecture of device and Android system (software emulators for virtual mobile devices), the process of creating and running software projects for Android: installation and configuration of ECLIPSE environment. Implementation of the system of switching between the two screens, designed applications: data transfer. Also, trainees were testing the application template on the emulator and on the device. Designing components of user interface in mobile application, using templates. The designing navigation system in mobile apps: menu options, contextual menu items SlideMenu and NavigationDrawer, tabs. Designing and implementation of database maintenance in mobile app using database structures, application queries in SQL, modification, and updating data. Implementing geolocation technologies, GoogleMaps, Navigation Drawer.


At the same time as trainees had internships, they also had a lot of fun with euroMind coordinators. Students had a different tour around of Sevilla, they saw the most beautiful and interesting places in Sevilla, coordinators were trying to show students Sevilla from inhabitant’s perspective. Students had “Tapas Night“ where they had an opportunity to open a new side of Spanish cuisine culture, also they were lucky to see “Flamenco Show”.
The trainees had a great experience visiting Malaga, which is not only a hot spot for nightlife, shopping, cafés, and beach chilling, but it is also the perfect place for history, art, and architecture enthusiasts. The city is one of the oldest in the world, and it is full of magnificent monuments that will intrigue many art and history lovers. The trainees began to explore the city from the Gibralfaro and Alcazaba Palace.


Trainees also visited Cadiz, where they saw a variety of beautiful buildings and historic places. Cádiz is located in southwestern Spain and is often considered the oldest city in Europe as it was founded in 1100 BC. It is a typical Andalusian pueblo blanco (white town) with many attractive sights and well-preserved historical landmarks. It is located by the ocean and was the starting point for Christopher Colombus expedition for the discovery of the Americas

Students get sufficient Spanish course with our Spanish teacher, we put emphasis on practice, so during lessons students play a lot, because we think the game is the best teacher. Spanish classes can be described by two words: dynamic and practical. That is why, after intensive and hard learning, the students had written an exam. All the participants passed with very good results!
