TIME FOR AMAZING EXPERIENCE! POLISH STUDENTS GAINING EXPERIENCE AS ELECTRICIANS AND GASTRONOMY WORKERS IN MALAGA

In July group of 16 students from Kozieniec, were hosted by euroMind in Malaga to gain a 3-weeks internship in different sectors. All students get a unique experience in different positions. Here they were working as electricians, waiters, and cooks.


Electricians were assisting in the installation of the light system. Preparing and installing components of the light system by applying appropriate techniques and procedures. Gathering all needed materials, tools, and other working equipment and preparing the worksite. Ensuring that the work equipment is maintained in an efficient state. Supervising the correct functioning of the already existing installations.

Waiters were setting tables with clean linen or placemats, cutlery, crockery, and glasses. Welcoming, seating customers, and handing them menus. Talking to guests about the menu and drinks and recommending combinations. Promoting local products and attractions to visitors from Spain and from overseas. Taking customers’ orders and passing them to kitchen staff or bar attendants. Serving food and drinks.

Cooks were working on different tasks, such as -washing, peeling, cutting fruit, vegetables, and meat. They also helped in weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients according to recipes and personal judgment with the use of available kitchen appliances and equipment.

During their stay in Malaga, the trainees not only developed their work skills but also took part in different cultural activities such as the Malaga tour, Malaga Boat Trip Catamaran, Malaga Sea Life Oceanarium. Students also were lucky to get a chance to visit Granada.
Granada is the city of three religions and cultures: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. During the trip, the group had a chance to learn and experience a little bit of each of these cultures. Moreover, the students could enjoy the great variety of stunning landscapes and views that Granada has to offer since the city is located at the foot of a mountain range called the Sierra Nevada.

Students get sufficient Spanish courses with our Spanish teacher, we emphasize practice, so during lessons students play a lot, because we think the game is the best teacher. Spanish classes can be described in two words: dynamic and practical. That is why, after intensive and hard learning, the students had written an exam. All the participants passed with very good results!
